In short: a rental company loses money when two bookings overlap or when nobody knows the condition a car came back in. SoftAuto keeps a calendar per car, calculates the rental per day from the category rate and generates the rental contract from the booking data. At hand-over and return you fill in a report with mileage and fuel level, plus notes on condition, and the differences stay recorded on the booking.

No overlapping bookings
Every car has its own calendar. When you add a booking you immediately see whether the car is free on those days and which alternatives you have in the same category.
Documented hand-over and return
Mileage, fuel level and condition notes are filled in at each hand-over and return, so if a dispute about a scratch appears, the record from the hand-over is on the same booking.
Contract and deposit with the booking
The contract is filled in from the customer and car data, on your own template. The deposit is recorded on the booking and marked as returned or withheld, with the reason.

Can customers book online?
Not directly from SoftAuto. You or your team enter bookings; for online booking on your website you can use 4appointments.net from the same ecosystem.
Are penalties calculated automatically?
No. You can note mileage and fuel differences on the booking, but you set the penalties according to your contract.
